These are the questions we get asked at site visits. We have written them out properly, with the standards cited where a number is involved, so you can make the call yourself. Sometimes the honest answer is to wait until spring, or that pavers suit your yard better than a pour. Those are in here too.
How thick should a concrete driveway be in Ontario?
The short answer is four inches for a normal residential driveway and five to six where a heavier vehicle will sit on it. The longer answer is that thickness is the least important decision you will make about your driveway.
